The Edge EZ programmer, # EP30204, does help eliminate downshifting while towing. There are 3 power levels that provide more horse power and more torque up to 65 horse and 150 foot pounds of torque at level 3. The additional power and torque will mean that you will not have to press the accelerator as far to gain speed which translates into less downshifting.
