The K-Source Universal Clip-On Towing Mirror, # KS3891, was designed to work with mirrors that have a gap between the mirror and the mirror housing. I do have a towing mirror solution for you, however, I would not recommend using this mirror on your truck. The lip between the mirror and housing is small and would most likely not be a secure fit for this mirror.
Instead, I would recommend taking a look at the CIPA Deluxe Door Mount Mirror, # 11650. One of my co-workers tested this mirror on his truck and said it provided the most stable view and least amount of vibration of all of our universal fit towing mirrors. I have attached a video of this mirror for you to check out.
