Prodigy Brake Controller Display Isnt Lighting Up
Question:
I have a Prodigy brake controller and I dont seem to get any adjustment from the thumbwheel power knob adjustment. nothing shows on the display when I rotate the thumbwheel. the trailer brakes are working. The Boost button is working. I would just like to dial in some more braking power. It is an older unit, at least 10-12 years old, maybe more. suggestions?

It sounds like you have the original Prodigy brake controller. If the display is no longer lighting up then it would be time to replace the controller. Getting 10-12 years of service from a brake controller is really good!
The original Prodigy would have a limited lifetime warranty that this should fall under. If you aren't able to claim this for some reason and you're wanting to stick with this same style then I recommend using the Prodigy P2 # 90885 (version 2) or the Prodigy P3 # 90195 (version 3) as they are just step ups from what you have. Since these are similar controllers you'd already be somewhat familiar with them and you can be confident that you'll get many more years of service from the controller.
I've attached video reviews for each that you can check out. The installation will be extremely simple because you'll use the same pigtail that is on our Prodigy. Just unplug it from the back and then plug it into the new controller!
