How Much Space is Required on the Trailer Frame to Mount the Trailer Valet Trailer Jack and Mover

Question:

Has this been tested on gravel? How much tongue space does it require? I have a Rockwood 2109s. Loaded weight is 4770 lbs, tongue weight is 377 lbs. My problem is that with the propane tanks, battery and brackets for my equal-i-zer hitch theres not much room left. I do have some space on the right side but its back close to the trailer box. How far back on the tongue can you place the bracket? I need something like this and would like to make it work

We have tested the Trailer Valet, # STC-V211, on a trailer but not on coarse gravel. However, I feel that it would fair well because the dual wheels provide a wide surface area and the wheels are not hard plastic so they can move over a little rougher terrain than your average jack wheel.

The bracket takes up 8 inches of real estate on the trailer frame. The unit has a capacity of 5,000 pounds but the further back on the frame it is the harder it will be to use the jack portion and maneuver the trailer.

Another option is a trailer dolly, # RA20. It has a 500 pound tongue weight capacity and two 13 x 4 inch tires spaced 24 inches apart so they can handle gravel easily.
