What is the Amperage Draw of Stromberg Carlson Powered A-Frame Trailer Jack # JET-2500
Question:
Our rv has a 12-volt battery on the front a frame which supplies 12-volt to lights, etc, and is tied to the ac/dc converter of the trailer. Is this sufficient to operate the jack under load?

Expert Reply:
When under load, the Stromberg Carlson jack, # JET-2500, draws 24 to 25 amps. Provided that the 12 volt battery on your trailer has the capability to provide this much power while running the other things tied into it or not, you can use this jack.
Powered jacks with the same capacity, see link, have about the same power draw, no more than 30 amps.
