Low Cost Fifth Wheel Hitch and Base Rails for 2002 Chevy Silverado 2500
Question:
Will Pro Series 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Rails and Installation Kit - Slide Bar Jaw - 15,000 lbs Item # PS30128 fit a 2002 Chevrolet 2500 HD crew cab short box? and if so will it be strong enough to pull a 2014 Inferno fifth wheel tow hauler? or what do you recommend - want to be on the lower end of cost but work just fine

We can get you a low-cost 5th wheel hitch and base rails with installation kit for your 2002 Chevy Silverado 2500 but since you have a short bed you will need a sliding fifth wheel hitch and the kit you mentioned has a fixed hitch.
Please keep in mind that sliding hitches cost more than fixed hitches due to them having moving parts, but it is needed so the fifth wheel doesn't crash into your cab when turning, which would of course cost more. So the lowest-cost option that will work well to pull your Inferno 5th wheel is made up of the following parts:
- Reese Universal Base Rails and Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # RP30035
- Curt E16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch with R16 Roller # 16516
Then for 5th wheel wiring (assuming your Silverado has the factory 7-way) is the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness # C56070.
I have added links to video reviews for you to check out as well.
