Expert Reply:
The two second vehicle kits you referenced, the Second Vehicle Brakeaway Kit for Roadmaster BrakePro # RM-98162 and the Second Vehicle Kit with BreakAway for BrakeMaster Systems # RM-98160 are for two different supplemental braking systems.
The # RM-98162 is for a discontinued supplemental braking system called the Roadmaster BrakePro. This system does not use air at all so an air reservoir is not needed.
The # RM-98160 is used with the Roadmaster BrakeMaster # RM-9160 which is used on motorhomes with air to air or air over hydraulic brakes.
Both of these systems are all the parts you would need to use the supplemental braking system on a second car. I attached an FAQ on supplemental braking also.
