The first step to take is to loosen the draw-down bolt on your Companion # BWRVK3500 or # BWRVK3400. Without this being loose the pull pin won't disengage.
If you've already tried this or it doesn't work let me know and I can help you look into this further.
Since it's been 5 years since your Companion hitch has been removed I'd be surprised if you're able to simply lift the hitch out of the gooseneck receiver. Once you have the pull pin released and out of the way you may need to crawl under the pickup and hit the shank with a liberal amount of lubricant like WD-40. The next step would then be to have your truck and 5th wheel trailer connected and then use your 5th wheel landing gear to lift the Companion out of the receiver.
After you get everything unstuck be sure to clean any parts that need cleaning and apply a generous amount of white lithium grease like part # L11354 and continue to add grease on a regular basis as per the instructions on maintenance.
