Will HydraStar Disc Brake Kit Clear Trailer Frame

Question:

Will this kit fit a 7k dexter axle with the leaf springs below the axle and frame 2inch above the axle? Looking to install this kit on an equipment trailer. The frame and leafs are 2inch inside the flange welded to axle. Looks like from the pics on your website the caliper hangs inside the plate a little.

The HydraStar Disc Brake Kit w/ Actuator for Tandem Axle Trailers # HSE7K-T1 should fit just fine with your 7K Dexter Axles. It does sit back slightly more than what a drum brake would but unless you have a really odd-shaped axle you won't have any problems.

As you can see from the linked review video the calipers sit slightly back but there is still enough clearance for them. The flange that these mount on actually have a dip in them that helps to accommodate some of the thickness of the caliper.
