Correct Base Kit to Used Anderson Hitch for Towing 5th Wheel Trailer with a 2015 Ford F-350

Question:

I am in the process of buying a Rockwood 8280WS Fifth wheel that comes with an Anderson setup that was installed in a 2016 Silverado 2500. I do not have a factory puck system in my 2015 F350 Diesel SB. My truck has a 3 leveling kit and 36 tires. What parts do I need to buy to make the Anderson work?

If the Anderson hitch that comes with the Rockwood 8280WS you're looking at installs into industry standard base rails, like the part # AM3200 does, then you'll need the Reese Quick-Install Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails # RP50026-58 for your 2015 Ford F-350.

If the Anderson that you're getting installs on a gooseneck hitch ball then I recommend installing the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch # BWGNRK1111.

I also recommend picking up a 7-Way socket like the Curt # C56000 for your truck bed so that it's easier to connect the 7-Way plug from your 5th wheel trailer.

One last thing to mention is that your F-350 looks like it will sit higher than a standard pickup. This can be a problem sometimes when it comes to leveling out the towing setup. You might need to make adjustments with your pin box or truck to get everything level.

Attached are a handful of installation videos for you to check out.
