Installation of CIPA Custom Towing Mirror on 2012 GMC Sierra
Question:
Slipping wedge behind stock mirror and tighting thumb wheel, dont this just pull wedge to the back of cipa mirrow? How does this tighten the cipa to stock mirrow.

The friction of the foam tape on the wedge against the OE mirror and the foam tape on the inside of the towing mirror is what prevents the mirror from moving. When inserting the wedge, it will take a little bit of force to get the hole in the wedge to line up with the hole in the mirror. The knob secures the mirror to the wedge.
