Availability of 3 Bike Trunk Mount Bike Rack For 2011 Nissan Murano

The Thule OutWay 2 Bike Rack, part # TH45JV, can carry 2 bikes and will fit your 2011 Nissan Murano. It has a total weight capacity of 66 lbs.

The Thule OutWay 3 Bike Rack, part # TH56BV, that you have referenced will not work on your Murano. Thule does not recommend a 3 bike trunk mounted bike rack for your vehicle.

Yakima does list the Yakima HangOut 3 Trunk Bike Rack, part # Y02638, as a fit for your vehicle but it does require the use of the glass hatch hooks in place of the upper strap hooks for the attachment of the bike rack to the top of your vehicle. When using the glass hatch hooks it will limit you to a maximum of 2 bikes. So it will not allow you to carry 3 bikes on your Murano.

That leaves one option, the Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top rack # HRF2-3. This rack has an additional upper arm piece that moves the top straps up and over that spoiler so no weight is put on it (since the spoiler is not meant to support weight). I have included a link to a video that shows how it works.

If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that goes straight across (like a typical men's bike would) then I recommend using bike adapter bar # 64005. This will allow you to carry those bikes more level and will provide better ground clearance. I have to use these adapters and without them my wife's bike would be at a severe angle and I would not be able to load my son's bike at all. I have linked a video showing how the adapter works.
