Is Curt Echo Mobile Brake Controller Good Choice for Travel Trailer

Question:

Hi, we need to update our brake controller. Is this designed to work with a camper travel trailer? WE take 3-4 trips a year with our camper. Also if I understand correctly this will override our existing brake. Also what about theft issue? Thanks

The Curt Echo Mobile # C51180 is an excellent choice for a brake controller for a travel trailer. Since it's a proportional controller it works great with all trailer brakes including travel trailers. When plugged into your 7-way it would override any brake controller installed on the vehicle as well.

The theft issue is the biggest down side to this. It could be easily grabbed and there isn't a way to really prevent it. Most won't be able to tell what it is by looking at it though.
