Unless your factory transmission cooler is leaking or defective in any way, you would not want to replace it necessarily with a different cooler. If it is leaking or is otherwise not working then you would need to plug up where the lines go into the radiator (if the cooler is in the radiator, an then run the lines to and from the transmission to the Derale cooler. You can see cooler # D13504 being installed in a video I have linked.
If your cooler is functioning normally then adding a supplemental cooler to help is the way to go. in this set up, the return line from the factory cooler will instead go into the supplemental cooler and then out of the supplemental cooler back to the transmission.
If you do end up bypassing the factory cooler, I recommend going with a remote cooler like # D15900 for the optimum amount of cooling. I have included links to our FAQ articles on coolers for you to view.
