How to Install the 4-Pole Trailer End Connector # 18004
Question:
How can I connect a 18004 to an old trailer that had 4 flat with 5 wires I need to know what wires to splice together.

You will want to wire by function to install the 4-Pole # 18004. The easiest way to do that would be to get a 12-volt battery and jumper wire to apply the 12 volts to the wires of your trailer to see which tail light function get illuminated. Or you could trace the wiring back to see where each wire terminates and figure it out from there.
The white wire is the ground.
The brown is the tail lights.
The yellow is the left turn/brake signal.
The green is the right turn/brake signal.
