Trouble Locating Factory Plug for Prodigy Brake Controller on a 2008 Toyota Sequoia
Question:
You have a video for installing your prodigy brake controller on a 2008 Toyota Sequoia. Your video says there is an after market brake controller plug in located in the drivers side kick panel. Was this plug installed by Toyota when the car was manufacturered. Before purchasing the controller I wanted to make sure my suv has this plug in and I took the kick panel off and cant find the plug. Thanks!

If your 2008 Toyota Sequoia has a 7-Way trailer wiring connector at the back from the factory then yes, there should be a plug behind the driver's side kick panel that you will connect the Adapter # 3040-P to for the Prodigy P2 # 90885 (which replaced the 90185 in the video you watched).
If you're having trouble finding the plug you aren't alone. Some people have found it hidden behind other wires or tucked really far up into the dash so you may need to dig around a little before you find it.
The only way you shouldn't have the plug is if your Sequoia didn't come with the factory tow package (7-Way connector). In this case you'll need to install the Tekonsha T-One # 118412 and # ETBC7 wiring kits so that you can hardwire the Prodigy P2 in.
