Recommended Bike Rack for 2 E-Bikes, Can Fold, and be Used on Flat Towed Vehicle

Question:

I am looking for a bike rack that: -can hold 2 e-bikes -can fold down out of way of car hatch with bikes on it. -can be on flat-towed vehicle and motorhome. Any suggestions? I like the Swagman E-Spec, but it does not fold out of way with bikes loaded on rack. What about the Curt 4-bike platform rack? Your site doesnt mention if it is okay with flat-towed vehicle.

We have a pretty decent selection of bike racks that fit your description.

If you're wanting a 2-bike rack like the Swagman E-Spec # S94FR then I recommend using the Hollywood Racks RV Rider # HLY64FR. This has both tilting and folding features, it can be used both on a flat towed vehicle and a motorhome, plus it has an impressive weight rating at 80 lbs per bike.

For a 4-bike option you'll need to use something other than the Curt 4-bike racks as they are not approved to use on a vehicle being flat towed. I recommend going with the Yakima HoldUp # Y02443-2 which can be used for a flat towed vehicle (isn't rated for a motorhome though), has a 200 lb weight rating (can hold up to 60 lb bikes), and the only real difference is that this is a wheel mount. This means that it is compatible with any bike frame style as long as it doesn't have any front fenders.
