Recommended Locks for Securing Trailer to Vehicle and Protecting Bikes
Question:
Is there an attachment that locks the trailer to the car, so it cannot be removed? Locking trailer and bikes

Locking your trailer to your car can be done in a couple of different ways. You can use the Master Lock Hitch Receiver and Coupler Latch Lock Set - Padlock - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches # 2848DAT to secure your ball mount and lock your coupler to the hitch ball.
Another option is to use the HITCH-LOCK Trailer Guard Coupler Lock by Dutton-Lainson # DL13980 which secures under the coupler and ball mount and utilizes a padlock like the Master Lock Padlock # ML1KA to secure the trailer to the ball mount.
For bikes, your best security is using a cable lock like etrailer 10' Long Cable Lock # e98891. If you run the lock through your hitch chain loops as well as through the frame and tires it is the best security we can offer. If you get a bike rack that has the locking hitch pin and the locking cable or hooks, you will be good to go securing both the rack to the vehicle and the bikes to the rack.
