Roadmaster Base Plate Kit Needed for 2020 Ram 1500 Rebel

Question:

I have 2020 Ram 1500 “Rebel” it looks like there are no base plates for this model truck. We have a Roadmaster tow system on our RV, we would like to stay with Roadmaster brand. Is there any hope that a base Plate will be built for this truck? What are my options? Thank you

We do have the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-522205-5 which is a fit for your 2020 Ram 1500 Rebel as long as it doesn't have the EcoDiesel feature. The Direct-Connect fit used to be known as the EZ5 so you just need to make sure that your tow bar is compatible with that type of connection. Most of the Roadmaster tow bars are but there are a few (the lower-quality ones) that won't fit. I have attached the installation instructions for you to check out.

For a complete flat towing setup you will need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, vehicle tow bar wiring, a supplemental braking system, and possibly a high-low adapter. If you do not have all of these components just let me know and I can make some additional recommendations for you.
