How To Measure for Drop Ball Mount When Using Jeep Grand Cherokee with Quadra-Lift
Question:
I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee with a Quadra-Lift™ Air Suspension. As per your instructions when my trailer is level the height is 14 1/2 inches my Jeep height is 18 inches - a drop of 3 1/2 inches. Your Fastway Flash 2-Ball Mount with Built-In Scale - 2 Hitch, 3-1/2 , 5 Rise - 10K meets this my specific requirements. However when I drive my suspension raises from 18 in to 19 1/2 inches normal drive height. Should I seek a a 4” or more hitch? I currently have a 2” and the trailer looks as if it’s going uphill.

In regards to choose the correct ball mount for a vehicle with air suspension or air suspension assist, you would need to take your measurements while the system is inflated or as it would be when you are ready to tow. Therefore, the Fastway Flash 2-Ball Mount with Built-In Scale part # FA34FR is what I recommend using since it offers up to a 5-1/2' drop. The vehicle will likely sag a bit once coupled but you would still be covered.
