Recommended 2-Bike Rack for Road Bike and Ladies Cruiser
Question:
What two bike hitch mounted rack would you recommend for occasional use with a road bike and my wifes cruiser having a Toyota Tundra with hitch

One of my very favorite racks from my favorite rack manufacturer is the # KU74FR Transfer 2-bike model from Kuat.
The rack holds the bikes firmly by the tires, with no frame contact and as long as your wife's bike doesn't have fenders the rack will work great for you. The rack is easier to load than hanging style bike racks, won't allow the bikes to sway back and forth and hit each other or the vehicle and is a better choice for women's bikes because the bike doesn't hang from the top tube. The rack's U-shape makes it super-easy to step in close and load up the innermost bike, which is a plus.
If the bike does have fenders, you'd need a different alternative that holds the bikes by the frame. The Hollywood Racks Trail Rider, part # HR200Z is what I'd go with. The Trail Rider is reasonably priced, and is very highly rated by our customers. If your wife's bike has a step-through type frame, a frame adapter bar like # 64005 is recommended to provide a good attachment point to the rack. The rack has a good per-bike weight capacity at 45 lbs each and includes the locks to secure the rack to the vehicle and the bikes to the rack.
Both racks are of high quality and have tons of enthusiastic reviews from our customers.
I've linked to product demonstration videos for both racks as well as to a video showing how the adapter bar works.
