If Trailer Breakaway System is Bypassed will Brakes of Trailer Still Work
Question:
our 5th wheel trailer brakes are locked up, if we cut one of the wires on the brake away switch will the trailer still have brakes so we can haul the 5th wheel?

If you disabled your breakaway switch the trailer brakes would still work. The breakaway system basically applies it's own voltage to apply the trailer brakes separate from a brake controller which allows it to act independently. I would strongly recommend fixing your breakaway system though in case you were to need it.
