How Far Out Should Awning be Rolled Out When Replacing Head
Question:
im a little nervous about removing the existing motor head from the awning tube. Should the awning be all the way out or just slightly out to remove the existing head? Do I need to worry about it springing forward or backward?

When replacing the head of a Solera awning like with the part # LC342150 you want to unroll the awning about 1 foot from the RV. This gets it out far enough that you can work on it but not far enough that there would be tension in the torsion spring which would cause it to be dangerous.
