Do You Have To Run Any Wires To Install Curt Echo Trailer Brake Controller On a 2020 Kia Sorento
Question:
Can you use the Curt Echo Wireless in a 2020 Kia Sorrento and not have to run any wires.

The Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180 is an excellent option for a 2020 Kia Sorento, one that offers the easiest installation. The Kia Sorento however to the best of my knowledge does not come equipped with a factory 7-way which you will need to tow a trailer with brakes so in addition to the Curt Echo you will need the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C56256 if you don't have the factory tow package or part # C56332 if you do. Then, you'll need the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit part # ETBC7L.
In regards to installation, you will need to run a power wire up to the battery but this is very simple and you don't have to splice into the vehicle.
