You will want to run the the wire through a 40 amp circuit breaker like our part # PK54540 from the black wire of the Tow Ready Adapter # 30717 to the positive side of your vehicle battery. You should note that this will help keep a trailer battery from losing its charge, but it would not charge a dead battery.
The best way to prevent excessive vehicle battery drain would be to disconnect the trailer wiring whenever you park. Or you could use a Tow Ready Battery Isolation Solenoid # TR118665. You would need to put this product in line with the 12 volt accessory circuit for your 7-way, and then find a keyed power source that only has power when the key is on to run to the middle post. This will only allow voltage to pass through the solenoid when your vehicle key is on.
To charge your trailer battery you may be interested in purchasing a CTEK MULTI US 7002 12-Volt Universal Battery Charger # CTEK56353. And then using your trailer wiring as a way to maintain the charge.
