Can the Factory Trailer Hitch Be Replaced for a Higher Rated Option On a Minnie Winnie Class C

Question:

I have a 30foot Minnie Winnie Class C. I have a 500# TW/5000# class III on it now. I use a motorcycle carrier that hangs out quite a bit. I have used this with a 300# motorcycle without a problem but there is a significant amount of flex/twist in the cross bar with all that weight cantilevered out there. I would also like to put a heavier motorcycle on it 400# if possible. I cant seem to locate a Class IV hitch with more capacity on your website. Are there tongue weight limits that this particular class C has? Can you guys educate me on this issue? Thanks

The fact of the matter is that there aren't really any good trailer hitch options for a motorhome so if you were lucky enough to have one installed from the factory then it's best to leave it in place. The aftermarket options all require cutting/welding/drilling so unless you are willing to partake in this it's best to find attentive solutions. If you are willing and able then the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Service Body Trailer Hitch Receiver like part # 41990-16 has the weight capacity you need.

In regards to actual limits on the chassis, these do exist although they are not figures I can provide. That said, you should be covered for the above.
