Recommended 4 Bike Rack for Class C Motorhome  

Question:

Hi, I have bikes ranging in sizes — mens, women, two children. Im looking for a sturdy bike rack that carries at least 140 pounds and will accommodate the range in bike sizes. What would you recommend for a class C motorhome with those specifications? I dont want to have to buy a lot of extras to make the rack work for us. I also dont want to break the bank. Could you recommend a few racks that you think would be best? Thank you.

For your Class C Motorhome, the Yakima LongHaul RV Bike Rack - 4 Bikes # Y02476 is my recommendation. It comes with the Hitch lock and the bike lock to secure your rack and the bikes and they are keyed alike. It also is able to carry the weight you desire and won't require a bunch of add ons like you referenced.

The Thule Hitching Post Pro - Folding Tilting 4 Bike Rack w Anti-Sway - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches # TH934XTR is also a great option but they don't include the hitch locks or the cable locks. The Thule racks which are rated for 140 lbs.

If the kids bikes are really small then use the Yakima Tube Top Bike Adapter Bar # Y02531 otherwise I recommend the adapter bar # 64005 for level transport of women's or other step thru frame bikes.
