Weight Rating for Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE2 w/ Cargo Rack

Question:

I am considering this combo for use with a 2017 VW AllTrack. Ideally I would like to mount two mountain bikes + a loaded Yeti 35 cooler in the cargo container. My question is around total weight - the bikes together weigh less than 40 lbs, but the cooler loaded I approximate would be around 45-50 lbs. Would this exceed the reasonable operating range for the mount and rack? Thanks!

The Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE2 Platform Bike Rack w/ Cargo Carrier # HR1450Z-85 at max capacity can handle 50 lbs per bike and 100 lbs of cargo so if your bikes combined weight less than 40 lbs and your loaded Yeti cooler weight in even at 50 lbs you will be well under the weight rating for this combination.

Just make sure that you have a 2" hitch receiver on your 2017 VW Golf Alltrack, like the EcoHitch # 306-X7315, and that you aren't exceeding the tongue weight rating for your vehicle. You'll want to check with your local VW dealer to find out what that is as it looks like the owner's manual doesn't have a listing in it.
