Do Extra Wires Need To Be Run for the Curt Echo When Using 4 to 7-Way Adapter
Question:
I just purchased a 4 pole to 7 pole 4 pole adapter and the wireless Bluetooth break controller. By converting my 4 pole to 7 pole and using the Bluetooth adapter, do I need to run anymore wires up from?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The correct 4 to 7-way adapter you'd need to use for the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180 is the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit for Trailer Brake Controller Installation part # ETBC7L because it comes with the rest of the parts needed to power the brake controller. In short, yes you'd need to run a power wire from the adapter up to the vehicle's battery.
If you already purchased a different adapter you can just get the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit part # RM-156-75 to complete the wiring.
