Is It Okay To Run Battery Charge Line Circuit for 7-Way Inside Vehicle

Question:

Hello, We have a 2017 Subaru Outback with a 7 way connector set up with the basic 4 pole functionality brake, turn signals. We would like to add the 12V power from the battery. Is it okay to route the 12V wire from the battery through the interior of the car back to the 7 way connector? Thanks

In order to add the battery charge line circuit on a 7-way trailer connector you can use the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit part # RM-156-75 which comes with everything you need and most likely more wire than you'll actually need. In regards to the exact route you must take, there really isn't a set in stone way, whichever works best for your particular application. The important thing to note is to stay clear of moving parts or heat. If the inside of the vehicle works best for your needs this is completely fine though you'll likely use more wire this way which is why the above is a perfect option.
