Oil Bath Conversion Kit to Fit in Place of 442251 Seals
Question:
I would like to convert my livestock trailer bearings/hubs from grease type to oil bath. I use set17 and set4 bearings with 442251 seals. Do you offer a conversion kit for these???

The oil bath kit that you're looking for is the Kodiak XL ProLube Kit for 3500-lb Axles # XLPROLUBE1980KIT. This comes with oil seals that have an ID of 1.72" which are an exact match for your National 442251 seals. The oil caps fit 1.98" hub bores so you will want to double check that.
Please note that you need to remove all of the grease in your current setup prior to installing an oil bath kit. If any grease is left then you run the risk of the grease reacting with the oil and then actually damaging the hub.
