It works great with most fifth wheel sliding hitches that use the industry standard bed rails like the Curt A16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ R16 Slider part # C16521. The use of a sliding hitch is recommended with the shorter bed to pervent the fifth wheel from making contact with the cab of your F-150.
Most folks want to have a wiring connector in the bed of the truck to plug into instead of draping it over the tailgate to plug in. For this use the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness w/ 7-Pole Connector part # C56070
