Travel Trailer Approved Hitch Bike Rack Recommendation to Carry 2 Beach Cruiser Bikes
Question:
Hi there, We need a bike rack for the back of our travel trailer and we’re looking at this one Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE but saw that it is not recommended for a travel trailer. What recommendations do you have? We have two beach cruiser bikes, one of which is a long frame 52” between axles/wheel base with 3 inch wide tires. Thanks

For a bike rack that's approved for use behind a travel trailer, I recommend the Swagman Dispatch 2 Bike Platform Rack # S44FR.
It can fit 2 bikes weighing up to 45 lbs each and can easily accommodate bikes with up wheelbases of up to 52" and 3" inch wide tires, so it will work great for safely transporting your two cruiser bikes.
The Dispatch is designed to handle the extra bounce and sway that travel trailers put on a hitch-mounted bike rack. It has a 5" higher clearance than most other RV-rated platform racks, and the wheel trays provide better protection over bumpy ground than racks with wheel hoops, like the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE # HLY74FR that you were looking at, which as you mentioned, is not travel trailer approved.
