Replacement Hubs for 5,200/6,000 Lb Axle with 1.250 Outer and 1.750 Inner Bearing

Question:

I have measured my spindles according to the picture provided on many of your questions. I have the inner and outer diameter sizes and they are: 1.25 and 1.75. There seems to be two different options for hubs and drums for this size for the outer bearing one using a LM67048 and the other using a 15123. How do you determine what hub to use with these two combinations? Is the space between the bearing races the same?

I have great news, the 1.250" outer bearing diameter and 1.750" inner bearing diameter are very common so we have tons of great options. The Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly part # 8-201-5UC3 which has a 10-10 grease seal which is 2.125" or the Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly part # AKHD-655-6-K which has a GS2250DL grease seal which is 2.25". Then for the braking assemblies, you can use the Electric Trailer Brake Kit part # AKEBRK-6. If you just want an idler hub, the Dexter Trailer Idler Hub Assembly part # 8-213-5UC1 is correct and it comes with a 10-10 grease seal which is 2.125" but you can obtain the part # GS-2250DL for the 2.25" grease seal diameter.

The dimensions between the bearing will be the same as what you have now.
