can these be just wired up to existing backup lights by splicing in to wire with out a problem?

Yes, you can splice the Low Profile LED Flood Light # 3371492135 to your vehicle reverse lights. These only draw 1.5 amps so it wouldn't be an excessive drain on your light circuit.
