Is Caulk Neeeded When Installing Trailer Roof Vent Cover # CAM40421
Question:
I want to install a roof vent cover over my existing roof vent to allow the roof vent to stay open without rain getting in. I dont see anything about caulking the max air roof vent. Of course, the existing roof vent is caulked, so should the max air vent cover be caulked also? Thanks

Expert Reply:
Since the Camco Aero-Flo Vent Cover attaches to the existing vent, you will not have any fasteners piercing your roof. Caulking would not hurt anything, but according to Camco, it's not necessary.
If you click the provided link, you can see a video of the Aero-Flo vent cover being installed.
