Brake Controller Recommendation for Use with Electric Over Hydraulic Brakes

can i use my pilot controller for my trailer with tandom axles that have electric over hydraulic brakes? i have a 2006 ram 3500 and a 37 foot trailer with two 10000 lbs axles

The official stance from the manufacturers of the Pilot Brake Controller # 80550 on whether or not it can be used with electric over hydraulic trailer brakes is that the Pilot is designed to operate electric brakes that are activated by electro-magnets. It has not been tested on electric over hydraulic brakes.
For a brake controller that is designed to work with electric over hydraulic brakes you would want a Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller # 90885 as it is designed to work with them. Check out the installation video and instructions that I attached for you.
