Will Yakima FullBack Trunk Bike Rack Fit a 2015 Mini Cooper S Model

Question:

Ive read that the Yakima fullback/halfback 2 would be ok for my car. Ive also heard the concern from another that the pressure from the straps could damage the factory spoiler? Is this true,andifso, what would you suggest to avoid this?

The Yakima FullBack # Y02634 trunk mount bike rack is only recommended on your 2015 Mini Cooper S model if you have the wing type spoiler. This way you can route the straps under the wing instead of over it to avoid damage like what you've read.

If you don't have the wing type spoiler then we need to look into a different option like installing a roof rack and using a roof mount bike rack or even the SeaSucker Mini Bomber # 298-BM2006 which is like a roof rack and bike rack combination.
