Best Replacement Axle Option for Military Trailer Using Off-Road Tires

I have just recently picked up two m100 military trailers from the post-WWII era and looking for a good option on axle replacement. I know about the Timbren axleless setups, but ideally would like to get this all done in my garage, and I see most of their kits dont come with the hubs/brakes/drums, etc.. Im also considering just replacing with a new traditional axle/leafsprings and shocks. I think somewhere in the neighborhood of 2,500 - 3,500 pound capacity should be adequate. Lastly, I DO plan on running oversized tires, probably 35s or 37s depending on fender clearance, so I would want an option with the greatest lift, etc.. Ideally, matching my 5x5 Jeep Gladiator lug pattern, but not necessary. What would you recommend?

There are two options to replace the axle on a military trailer, you can have a custom axle made or you can go with an axle-less kit. The custom axle option would get pricey and you really don't have the ability to use larger tires without compensating for this when having the axle built. This option keep in mind would require new hangers to be welded as well as leaf springs. Therefore, the best option is going to be the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System which is also the one you would most likely to be able to do at home by yourself. The Timbren Heavy-Duty Axle-Less Trailer Suspension part # ASR1THDS03 which has a 2,200 lb weight capacity is the only option to get a 5 on 5" bolt pattern and for this you'd also need the Trailer Idler Hub Assembly part # AKIHUB-550-35-EZ-K.
