Will the Kuat Transfer Allow Rear Hatch To Open on 2018 Ford Explorer

Question:

have a 2018 ford explorer, want the kuat transfer, two things, by hitting the lever with two bikes, will i get suv back hatch up and or do i get the extender and could i put hatch up without tilting the bikes

The Kuat Transfer Bike Rack like part # KU74FR which is one of my favorite bike racks is an excellent option for a 2018 Ford Explorer. In regards to the rear cargo area, you'll simply need to tilt the rack rearward so you can open the hatch and access the contents inside. Therefore, you won't have to remove the bike rack or even the bikes to get into the rear of the vehicle. There won't be any extender needed for this either.
