Is the total 225 lb weight limit including hitch weight or not for the curt 5 bike hitch. C18065

The 225 lb weight capacity of the Curt Premium 5-Bike Rack # C18065 is not referring to hitch weight, just the weight of the bikes.
Keep in mind you will need Bike Frame Adapter Bar # HRBA-PRO if you plan on carrying a bike that is dual-suspension, has a step-through frame or you want to carry a small children's bike. The bar will give those bikes a horizontal mounting point so they can be carried by the rack.
