Replacement Thule TracRac Load Stops and Ladder Rack Recommendation for 30 Ladder on 2013 F-150

Question:

Hello, I have Thule TracRac on my 2018 Chevy Colorado short bed 5’2” and I recently broke off both load stops on the back. I am looking to purchase 2 load stops and 2 knobs with screws for them. Please let me know what part numbers I have to order. I also have Ford 150 which I believe is 2013 that need a ladder rack for 30’ ladder. What would you recommend?

To replace the load stops on the Thule TracRac for your 2018 Chevy Colorado you need 3 different parts; the Load Stop # 8537165, M8 T-Bolt # 853-5715, and the Hand Knob # TAKB-90004. Obviously you'll need 2 of each if you need to replace both load stops, and you won't need the M8 T-Bolt if those are still intact with your ladder rack.

For the 30' ladder on your 2013 Ford F-150 (or similar model year) you're going to need a ladder rack that extends over your cab so you don't have a massive amount of the ladder sticking out at the back of your truck. I recently had the opportunity to install the Buyers Products Over-The-Cab Truck Bed Ladder Rack # 3371501400 on a 2020 F-250 and I really liked how it looked and felt after it was installed. This comes in the silver version that I just referenced as well as black # 3371501410, and then it is aluminum so we don't have to worry about rust or corrosion over time, and it has an 800 lb weight capacity which should be more than enough for any loads you'd have on the ladder rack.

I'm attaching the installation video I did for you to check out to see the whole process.
