Mounting Hardware for Roof Mounted Cargo Basket

Question:

I have the 4 mounts. I just cant find an attachment in order to install a small generic roof top basket. Before I go out and create my own mounting system MacGyver it with these isthere a simple attachment I can buy through you? The basket I want to mount to them is only 30” x 48”. I have factory Aero style cross bars on my ‘04 Xterra. Thanks

Unless your basket is designed using the same construction as the discontinued Yakima BasketCase, the Yakima # Y03590 mighty mount wouldn't work. It's hard to say without knowing the exact dimensions and configuration of the slats on your carrier, but I'd think that something like the # TH05603 from Thule would be a better choice. The U-bolts have a span of approximately 4 inches, so if your crossbars are narrower than that this kit should work for you.
