Is 5th Wheel Trailer Clearance 10 Inches Above Siderails Okay on 2020 Silverado 2500HD?

Good Morning, I have a 2020 Silverado 2500 HD, crew cab, Standard box with puck system installed. I order the Damco adapter for my CURT 20K, installed it and the hitch is high as my bed rails, so when I hooked it up, I had well over 10 inches of clearance. What should the max height be for clearance? I cannot lower Curt hitch any more. My camper is 31 Ft long, weight approximately 11500. Any help or suggestions would be great, tried calling in but didnt know what extension to pick. I thank you in advance for your assistance.

Having 10 inches of clearance at your bed rails is not an issue as long as your trailer rides level. You want to have at lease 6 inches of clearance above the side rails for turns on uneven ground and inclines.

If your trailer is not level that is a different issue. We can look at a different hitch or raising the trailer at the axles if needed.
