Replacement Leaf Springs for 6k Axles on 2012 Heartland Big Country

Question:

I have a 2012 Heartland Big country with tandem Dexter D60 6000# axles. I am looking to replace all four sagging leaf springs. The springs measure: 25 1/2” to center of each eye, 13 5/16” from center pin to center of eye, 5 leafs 1 3/4” wide. It looks like the e34SR 5 leaf 6000# spring would be the direct replacement springs . I am wondering if the SP198275 7000# springs would work for my application to give me some added height to help level the trailer when towing and clearance?

Going with the correct axle rating for the leaf spring replacements is the way to go. It's tempting to go with higher rated springs but you'll just give the trailer a harsher than needed ride quality.

Since your stretched (they all stretch as they age) springs are 25-1/2 inches the correct 6k replacement would be the part # e34SR and you'd be set.
