Fit of Yakima Y02637 HangOut Trunk Mounted Bike Rack on 2011 Subaru Forester

Question:

2011 Subaru Forester, I am wondering if this product will fit my vehicle? if so are there any accessories I need to purchase along with this? I do not have a hitch.

According to Yakima, their # Y02637 HangOut 2 trunk mount bike rack would indeed be a fit for your 2011 Subaru Forester. To install the rack, you wouldn't need anything else but if the bikes you're planning on carrying lack a traditional top frame tube like step-through or hybrid bikes or if the top tube isn't parallel to the ground, a frame adapter bar such as # 64005 is recommended. The adapter bar spans the distance between the handlebar gooseneck and the seat post, offering a level attachment point for the bike rack so the bike isn't carried at an angle which would have a negative effect on ground clearance.
