When Tapping into a Fuse Is there a Positive and Negative Side to Test For

Question:

The installer s wires into the fuse panel slots, without any regard to which side of the fuse panel is positive or negative. My question is did he just neglect to mention that the inline fuse wire must be connected to the + side of the fuse panel OR, does it not matter? I dont want to burn up my electronics over an oversight in the video. Followup, on the harness, is only ONE of each set of wires black or red connected to the inline fuse OR are BOTH WIRES, black for example connected to the inline fuse? Thank you in advance.

Helpful Expert Reply:

A fuse installs inline on the positive side of a circuit and does not have a power and ground. The fuse panel would not need to be tested for power and ground on either side of the fuse as both will have power.
