Adapting a 2 Inch Trailer Hitch for Use with a 1-1/4 Inch Trailer hitch Mount Cargo Carrier
Question:
I am borrowing a 1-1/4 cargo carrier from a friend but I have a 2inch hitch on my 2008 chevy tahoe. Is there a specific part that is recommended for me to convert to 1 1/4 so that I can use this carrier?

What you need is called a reducer sleeve, like # HT02. It fits into the 2 inch receiver and provides a 1-1/4 inch opening for use with the carrier. I have included a link to a video review of this part for you.
The best thing about this design is that it does not reduce the tongue weight capacity of the trailer hitch.
