Does the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Install the Same Manner as the Gas Model on a 2013 Ram 3500 Diesel
Question:
I have a 2013 Dodge Ram 3500 diesel with the built in trailer tow computer system. It is not working and I want to bypass it with the Prodigy P3. I was told to use the Tekonsha 3023-p wiring adapter. I watched the video you have on installation but I have searched under the dash system over the peddles and cannot find even one of the connectors. Is it different on a diesel?

The installation of a Prodigy P3 Brake Controller # 90195 using the # 3023-P adapter is not going to be any different on a diesel than the gas models of the 2013 Ram 3500. If you haven't already done it, your best bet is going to be removing the trim panel right under the steering wheel.
In order to remove the knee blocker / lower steering column opening trim: First remove the two fasteners at
the bottom of the trim panel under the steering wheel and carefully remove the hood release latch. Disconnect the data link connector and pry off the trim panel. Doing this will give you complete access to the wiring that will be where the plug ins are for the adapter for your P3. They may be tucked behind other wires and difficult to spot, but they are there.
If you're still having trouble locating the plug and can send in some pictures we may be able to spot it for you.
