Will a Thule TH9045 bike rack fit and how well?

The Thule T2 Platform-Style 2 Bike Rack, part # TH9045, will fit a 1-1/4 inch hitch receiver. If you have a hitch on your 2012 Buick LaCrosse it should be a 1-1/4 inch size because that it is the only size that is made for that vehicle. You might want to measure the inside of the hitch receiver to make sure it is 1-1/4 inches wide.

To determine if the Thule # TH9045 bike rack will work on your vehicle you will need to measure from the center of the hitch pin hole on the hitch out to the distance required to clear the rear bumper. This is the distance a bike rack must extend in order for it to clear the rear of the vehicle.

If that measurement is less than 7 inches then the Thule bike rack will fit just fine. You will also need less than 5 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the farthest out part of the rear bumper for the carrier to fold up when not transporting bikes.
